Junior Classic League

Providing materials for the students attending the Junior Classic League, this project offers an opportunity to participate in academic (Latin knowledge bowls and tests), artistic (making an ancient Roman mosaic or painting a gladiator) and athletic (trying to show ancient Olympics by having kids run and swim) competitions. We were pleased to present $500 for this grant.

TREP$, short for entrepreneur$

Exploring graphic design using digital tools, specifically a color printer, will benefit students in a project-based learning program that teaches middle schoolers how to start their own business. We were pleased to present $297.48 for this grant.

Arts for Anime and Manga Club

Providing books and art supplies to create art portfolios with images of student creations using new art genres, engaging students, and adding to the novels in the Anime Club library, is the goal of this project. We were pleased to present $499 for this grant.

Access to Books for ESL Students

Owning books that are just for you is very special. It was discovered that a majority of the ESL population could not afford to purchase a book at the bookfair. Having access to diverse books that reflect their unique culture and experiences is essential to meet educational goals. We were pleased to present $495.95 for this grant.

School-Wide Book Club

Creating a book club where all the students in a grade level will receive a book to read and share with their teachers, classmates and families, is the goal of this grant. In addition to lunch or after-school book club meetings, an event to celebrate students’ reading and book conversations will be hosted. We were pleased to present $500 towards this grant.

Ready to Get Published

Publishing My Own Hardcover Book

Developing First graders to write and illustrate their own book, will be shared with families through a book publishing event. These books will be displayed in the school library to encourage additional writing/illustration skills. We were pleased to present $498.35 for this grant.

Supporting Social-Emotional Health through Outdoor Classroom Space

By providing an outdoor learning space, this project will offer hands-on curricula which supports social- emotional health through confidence building, and problem-solving learning interactions. We were pleased to present $495.14 for this grant.

Sustainable Jersey Juniors Courtyard Garden

As part of the Sustainable New Jersey program, the school will enjoy the garden space with students helping to maintain the garden, recycling teams, adopt a garden box (by class), and functioning as an outdoor classroom space for instruction. We were pleased to present $500 for this grant.

Battle of the Books

For creating a school wide reading incentive, this program will have students compete in a game show style competition to demonstrate how well they know a selection of books. We were pleased to present $499.53 for this grant.
